Mother's Day Card Making

Okay, let's see if I can figure out how to upload pictures to this site. LOL

My grandchildren came to work on mother's day cards for their mom.  A fun time was had by all.  They made some really cute cards.  Here are some pictures of the event.

Looks like I figured out.  These cards were made with Kanban sets.  They chose the elements they wanted from the set and added card stock.  They chose to hand write the sentiment.  Wendy will love them.  See you next time.

Grandkids

Tomorrow, after therapy, I am going to pick up my grandchildren so we can make their mother (my daughter) Mother's day cards.  They had me teach them how to make explosion boxes for their friends birthdays.  I hope I remember to take pictures so I can post them.

Tough Year

The story just keeps going on and on.  I fell to the dreaded lung proplems that have been present in our family this year.  I am presently going to respitory rehab three times a week. It seems like this whole family is on a health train wreck.  On a good note, I did quit smoking (it makes it so much easier when you can't breath).  It's been two weeks now.  Not long enough to be considered a non smoker just yet, but long enough, that the lung center will no longer have to test me for smoking.  The CO2? in my lungs from smoking is now gone.  One hurdle passed.   I've made it this far, and by golly I'm going to keep on this path.

I did make an explosion box for my niece's birthday.  Very last minute though - the glue probably didn't even dry.  LOL  She loved it though, and her husband was commenting about me making him one that special for his birthday.  Of course, I had to do one for him.  That was more difficult (it's that male thing).  Once again, I finished his just in time to head out the door.  I've got to get a better handle on this.  I will need time to figure out how to get pictures uploaded to the site.  I guess, the first thing I should do, is to get the card done in time to take pictures of it.

Busy Schedule

It has been a busy time for me lately.  My DH has been undergoing radiation.  That is now finished for the time being.  He will have seeding done early Feb., followed by more radiation in about 6 months.

My mother was in the hospital, then rehab over the holidays.  We no more than got her home, and my sister went in the hospital for about 10 days.  My mother is regaining strength a little bit at a time.  A medication she was taking was causing internal bleeding.  Couple that with a bad heart valve and COPD, she was really very weak.

My sister, had some sort of lung inflammation.  They thought it was pneumonia or bronchitis, but that was not the case.  She is now home, and regaining strength daily.  She has to take steroids for the inflammation, which causes her blood sugars to go up, so now she has to give herself insulin shots till the inflammation clears up.

My back has gotten worse, and now the doctor has me in a back brace.  Between RSD and the back issues, I frequently am in a lot of pain myself.  It seems like a lot going on in our family.  God is good to us though, and if we only focus our eyes on Him our problems seem so small in the scheme of things.

I have a card that I will be getting a picture of and figuring out how to post soon.

New Year

Well, it is a new year again.  It seems they come faster and faster each year.  I don't do New Year's resolurtions anymore - I never keep them. LOL.

It seems that I am still in the Christmas thinking.  I keep thinking of the wonderful gift God gave us on that 1st Christmas long ago.  Can you imagine the love God had for us when he gave his son to us?  Wow.  It boggles the mind.  I'm just thankful that he did come.

I just don't seem to find time to learn how to do anything on this blog just yet.  My mom had been in the hospital, and is now in rehad.  She doesn't like it very much, and my heart just goes out to her.  They have talked about Assisted Living, but she is adament that she wants to go home.

Thanks for dropping by
